Michael,

1. Welcome to our new Partners

* Welcome to our new Preferred partners of the month:
A Preferred partner is a partner updating its XML private catalog with D&R in order to create the best high quality communication channel with his customers.

2.  IP/SoC Market Watch of Q1/2005

D&R is delivering a IP/SoC market analysis report based on D&R web site activity each quarter, dedicated to its partners. Once a year D&R opens such a report to the whole community. Please click here to view it.

Should you be interested by getting such a report on a regular basis please contact us

3.  D&R opens its office in Japan

D&R activity is growing in 2005 for 2 major reasons:
  • The IP concept has spread in the Electronic design world from licensable IP providers to Fabless IC, ASSP, IDM vendors and D&R is more and more solicited to open its community
  • On the other hand D&R is taking a stronger and more active position in delivering to the market its  IP cataloguing, IP packaging, and IP transfer technology
These 2 reasons lead D&R to open local offices in 2005 and the first one being Japan due to its strong activity in semiconductors and the necessity for refining D&R role in this country. For more information, please contact:

4.    A new Hot Corner on IP based solutions: the Virtual Fabless Corner

D&R is spending significant efforts in broadening the focus of its web site towards IP based solutions complementary to individual licensable IP offers, successfully publicized for years, in D&R catalogs.

This week D&R opens a new hot corner publicizing turnkey or global IP based solutions. Such a solution may be dedicated to a specific application field or a specific feature of a SoC solution. It mayor not be supported  by a physical or virtual design platform. The appellation Virtual Fabless means that such a provider follows your design up to silicon like a Fabless provider would do but without selling the chips.

A certain number of providers having emphasized such a global solution have been selected to appear in this hot corner in its initial phase.

It is our pleasure to announce you the opening of this hot corner under the sponsorship of Temento Systems a company offering its strong intellectual property for implementing debugging /testing capabilities in Asics.

5.    IP catalogs on CDROM offer for providers

D&R is well known for its ability in creating XML  fully flexible IP catalogs using its catalog technology ( IP Manager Series tm)  .These private catalogs are  used by D&R  for transferring catalog  data of the most valuable providers in intranet catalogs .

In order to serve better the providers community, D&R is offering to deliver to the providers a CDROM version of their catalog to be installed at the customer site by their sales forces.

Static catalogs up to live browsable catalog with automatic installation in a client intranet will be delivered to clients and enhance greatly the provider visibility in the client environment.

The content of the catalog which can be a multi catalog is completely under the control of the provider but the update in various customers sites can be taken over by D&R services.

Please contact D&R for defining the content of your private catalog and getting such a CDROM

6.    D&R, the IP packaging company

D&R is spending most of its resources in providing high quality software for cataloguing, packaging, transferring IP metadata and files.  Having spent a lot of efforts the last years on XML tagged IP file delivery, D&R has focused recently on IP interface or IP wrapper for IP assembly. Remember also that D&R is an active player in any standardization effort around IP.

Following the Spirit proposal, D&R is glad to announce that its packaging tool called eDM ( e Design Manager tm) has been extended to support pre standardized IP interface data creation.

New features that have been added to eDM aiming at creating an IP wrapper around an IP defined by a XML schema. This is of course illustrated presently through the Spirit initiative which defines an IP interface model that the IP Assembler from the 3 major EDA vendors are committed to support .
